Flu Vaccination Clinics 2026

 

We are pleased to be offering Flu vaccinations on Saturday October 3rd as part of the NHS Autumn/Winter Vaccination Programme.

Location: Forest Edge Practice

 

How Will I Be Invited? 

Eligible patients will be invited during September 2026.

Most patients will receive a text message containing a link to book their appointment online alternatively please contact the surgery

 

Important Information About Your Appointment

To help us vaccinate patients safely and efficiently and minimise waiting times:

  • Please arrive around your allocated appointment time
  • The appointment time provided is an estimate to help us manage patient flow effectivel
  • Arriving significantly early may increase waiting times for yourself and other patients
  • Please follow the one-way system and staff instructions
  • Attend alone unless assistance is required
  • Wear clothing that allows easy access to your upper arm(s) for vaccination
  • These clinics are for Flu vaccinations. We will be unable to deal with any other routine appointments, services prescription queries or any other requests
 

Consent to Vaccination

By booking an appointment for these clinics, you are indicating that you wish to receive the Flu vaccine. A member of the clinical team will confirm your eligibility, discuss any relevant health information, answer any questions, and confirm your consent before vaccination is given. You are free to decline or withdraw consent at any time prior to vaccination

 

Who is Eligible for a Free NHS Flu Vaccination?

Registered Patients who fall into one of the following groups:

  • Aged 65 years and over
  • Pregnant
  • Aged 18 years to under 65 years with certain long-term health conditions (clinical risk groups) including:
    • chronic respiratory, heart, kidney, liver disease or neurological conditions,
    • learning disability,
    • diabetes,
    • adrenal insufficiency,
    • epilepsy,
    • immunosuppression,
    • splenic dysfunction
    • morbid obesity (BMI 40 or above).
  • A carer
  • A close contact of an immunocompromised individual
  • A child aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2026
  • A child aged 6 months to under 18 years in a clinical risk group
 

Children's Vaccinations

Children Aged 2 and 3 Years

Children aged 2 and 3 years on 31 August 2026 will be invited separately for flu vaccination at the practice.

School-Aged Children

Most school-aged children from Reception to Year 11 will be offered their flu vaccination through the school immunisation programme.

Children in Clinical Risk Groups

Children aged 6 months to under 18 years with certain long-term health conditions will be invited separately for flu vaccination at the practice

 

Housebound Patients

Eligible housebound patients will be contacted separately and vaccinated at home.

 

Additional Clinics

Further clinics may be announced for patients unable to attend these dates. Opportunistic vaccinations may also be offered during other appointments where appropriate.
